M.A.P.S. Membership

Each year, the Midwest Animation Promotion Society sponsors Anime Central, a convention devoted to anime, manga and Asian culture.

M.A.P.S. members enjoy a number of members-only benefits, primary among them access to Anime Central and to special M.A.P.S. hosted events, all while supporting the M.A.P.S. mission of promoting the development of the animation industry in North America and furthering the appreciation of anime and manga as valid art forms. M.A.P.S. members come from all over the world, numbering nearly 30,000 strong and all ages.

Our Membership year starts the Monday following our yearly annual meeting (Anime Central) and runs until the Sunday of the annual event. Memebrship pricing is tier based with a progressive pricing structure. All memberships are non refundable and non-transferable. To attend our events you must be an active member.

Anime Central

Our Annual Event

Anime Central (ACen) is the largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention in Chicago and the Midwest located less than 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, in Rosemont, IL. As part of its mission, ACen brings guests from the Japanese and US sectors of the anime and manga industry, as well as gaming, cinema, and Asian culture personalities.
